PDF tools for healthcare workers

PDFReadyGo’s tools run inside your web browser, so a PDF you merge, compress, redact or scan is processed on your own phone or computer. It is not uploaded to our servers. This page shows how to check that yourself and which tools fit the paperwork that comes with clinical work.

What happens to your file

When you choose a file, the browser reads it from your device. The tool’s code changes it in the device’s memory and saves the result back to your device as a download. There is no account to create, and we keep no copy, because the file never reaches us.

The page itself still talks to the internet. It loads the tool code from this site, and the ads and analytics on the page make small requests of their own, the same as on most free websites. None of those requests carry your document. The privacy policy lists each service and what it receives.

Check it yourself in two minutes

You don’t have to take our word for it. Every tool page has a test you can run with any file:

  1. Open the tool you need while you are online and wait a few seconds, so the page can save itself for offline use.
  2. Turn on airplane mode, or turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  3. Choose your file and run the tool. If the download appears, the work was done on your device, because nothing could be sent.

Under each tool there is also a panel called Prove it’s private. It counts the network requests the page makes after you choose a file and shows the most data sent in any one request. Compare that number with the size of your file. In our test on November 2, 2026, merging a 10-page file with two photos, the line Requests that sent a file or binary data stayed at 0.

A few extras are saved for offline use only after their first use: the decoder for iPhone HEIC photos and the text recognition data for each language. Run those once while online if you plan to use them offline.

Tools that fit healthcare paperwork

Before you use any tool with patient information

Follow your employer’s policies first. Many workplaces decide which devices and apps may hold patient information, and some don’t allow personal phones or home computers at all. A tool that keeps files on your device doesn’t change those rules. PDFReadyGo is not certified for any health privacy law, and this page isn’t legal advice. If you aren’t sure whether a task is allowed, ask your manager or your organization’s privacy officer before you start.

Think about where the result ends up, too. A download is saved in the device’s Downloads folder, and on a phone it may sync to a cloud backup. On a shared computer, delete the file and empty the trash when you are done.
